Overview

Themerr manages theme songs for Plex and Jellyfin using ThemerrDB. The web UI is available on port 9494. Port 9495 is used by the Jellyfin connector when the Themerr admin UI uses a self-signed certificate. Before connecting a media server, create a persistent key file outside this container's /config directory. On Unraid, run: mkdir -p /mnt/user/appdata/themerr && python3 -c 'import base64, os; print(base64.urlsafe_b64encode(os.urandom(32)).decode())' > /mnt/user/appdata/themerr/themerr-tokens.key && chown 99:100 /mnt/user/appdata/themerr/themerr-tokens.key && chmod 600 /mnt/user/appdata/themerr/themerr-tokens.key. Keep this file private and keep the same key when recreating the container. Losing the key requires signing in again.

Themerr adds theme music to Plex and Jellyfin movies, TV shows, and collections from ThemerrDB. It listens for Plex library updates and can also scan supported libraries on a schedule. YouTube audio streams are resolved with yt-dlp.

It works with the Plex Movie (tv.plex.agents.movie) and Plex Series (tv.plex.agents.series) agents. Install and configure the application separately from your media server. Plex does not require a plug-in; Themerr installs its matching connector on Jellyfin.
